Switching the whole system off leaves the building unprotected, and renovation actually raises the fire risk (welding, angle grinders, electrical work). The right approach: temporarily fit dust covers only on detectors in the work area, appoint someone to keep watch, and remove the covers as soon as work stops.
Agree this in advance with your maintenance company: they will put the relevant addresses into bypass and restore them after the work.
